Questions & Answers
How much does it cost?
Nothing. Registration for access to your personal Readiness
Account is FREE.
What's the catch?
There is none. We believe that it's in everyone's interest to hold fundraising
campaigns that will succeed. Down the line, if you choose to use a campaign
consultant, we hope you'll consider one of our associates.
How do I know its worth it?
You get an evaluation that was developed by experienced Campaign Consultants.
How accurate is the Readiness Report?
The purpose of any consultant's independent assessment is to provide you
with objective feedback. The results can be exactly what you hope for,
or you might not like them at all. The limitation of this medium is that
the results are only as accurate as your answers to the interview questions.
If you answer accurately, your Readiness Report will give you an extremely
accurate assessment.
How
do I Login?
A login screen will appear automatically when you try to access an interview
worksheet or a profile report or your account information.
What happens if I forget my password?
Every personal Readiness Account has a unique login (your email address) and
password associated with it. If you forget your password a
simple request will deliver it to the email address you specified at
registration.
Will we still need a feasibility study?
Whether a feasibility study is indicated and how one might be of benefit
to you is one of the results of your readiness report. The Readiness
Tool is not
intended to
replace
a
feasibility
or
planning
study.
Performing
your
own
Readiness
Assessment
is the first
step of any feasibility study. The Readiness Tool
gives you an early, inexpensive analysis
of where you
stand.
Will we still have to hire a consultant?
Fundraising campaigns will often benefit by employing the services
of a knowledgeable philanthropic consultant. When you first engage a consultant
early in a campaign, that person will spend anywhere from 2 to 4 days asking
many of the same questions that are asked in the Readiness Tool and writing
a report.
With the Readiness Tool you can find out the degree to which you are campaign-ready
without first buying 2 to 4 days of consulting time. Your later use of
a consultant's time
will then have
a firm foundation on which to grow.
We've already started our campaign. Do we still need a Readiness Report?
You may, and it certainly won't hurt. Capital campaigns can stumble, they
can fall short of their goal, they can fail altogether -- all from lack
of thorough planning.
How long will it take to complete the Readiness Interview?
Less than an hour. The length of the Readiness Interview depends on the
type of campaign that you envision. Generally the interview worksheets include
a total of about 50 multiple choice questions. For each
question
you select one of four possible responses.
How long do I have to complete the interview?
After you register for your personal Readiness Account you have 60 days to
complete your interview worksheets and generate a report. If you discover
errors, you can change your responses and run new reports as needed during
that time.
Your answers are stored securely from one
session to the next.
Can I get an extension?
Yes. If your 90 days has expired you may register for a free extension of
your account for another 90 days. Your data will remain intact.
My account expired 6 months ago. Can I still obtain an extension?
Yes. There is no limit on how long your account will remain available. When
you renew your account it will be available for another 90 days from the
date of the renewal.
